Here's the truth: it depends on how it's built, and most people never get a straight answer. Your domain — the "www.yourbusiness.com" part — is yours as long as you keep paying the small yearly renewal fee to the domain registrar. That's normal, and every domain on the internet works this way. The website itself is a different story. Some platforms lock your design to their system — if you ever want to leave, you start over from scratch. Others let you build it, hand it off, and walk away clean. Ask this question before you build anything: _"If I stop paying you, what do I actually keep?"_ If nobody can answer that clearly, that's your answer.

A website is like a storefront. The building gets you a door, some shelves, and a sign. It doesn't hand you a cash register, a security system, or a mailing list — those are add-ons you choose based on what your business needs. Same with a website. A booking calendar, an online store, an email signup form — these are tools bolted onto the site, not something baked in for free. The good news: most of them are cheap, and you only add what you'll actually use. Nobody needs all of them on day one.

Fair question, and one I'd ask too. A website isn't just "a page on the internet" — it's the design, the setup, the testing across phones and computers, the accessibility work, and the ongoing hosting that keeps it online and working. Cheap options exist, and sometimes they're fine. But cheap usually means one of two things: a template that looks like a thousand other sites, or a bill that grows quietly through hidden fees later. Paying for it once, done right, tends to cost less than paying for it twice.

We don't host websites directly, but we make sure hosting is set once the website design is done. Once your website is ready to launch, we'll guide you through connecting your domain and setting up the right hosting plan, so everything goes live smoothly with no guesswork on your end.

We can create easy to understand tutorials on setting up and editing certain aspects of your completed website. For example editing text elements, colors, and Content Management System (CMS). The tutorials can be text/image or videos.

We can assist you in gaining a new domain. Please note, if your domain is handled by an agency or designer, it's best to gain access it so that your website can connect to it. If you already own a domain, we can simply connect it to your new website during the launch process.

Website rules and requirements are not the same everywhere. Different countries have their own laws around accessibility, privacy, and consumer protection, and getting those wrong can cause real problems for a client down the road. We know the requirements that apply in the United States well, and that is where we can build with confidence. Rather than guess at rules we are not familiar with in another country, we currently take on projects from clients located within the United States only. This is about who we build for, not who can see the finished site. Once a website is live, anyone anywhere can visit it, the same as any other site on the internet.
